Thunder Valley Racing Editor Dr. Karen Salvaggio to Compete in 2007 NASA Nationals

Podium a remarkable eight times...
Dr Karen Salvaggio

Thunder Valley Racing editor-in-chief Dr. Karen Salvaggio will be competing in the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) National Championships to be held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course September 13-16, 2007. Karen is a regular competitor in the Factory Five Racing Challenge Series, and is currently third in the standings for the West Coast region. Karen is now in her second season with the series, following her inaugural year in which she secured her first victory and consistently finished in the top five. In 2007, Karen has continued to build upon her success, having secured two victories and standing on the podium a remarkable eight times this season.

Thunder Valley Racing is a proud sponsor of the NASA National Championships this year, and is pleased to offer a dynamic contingency program for 2007. This multi-level program includes complimentary posting of daily updates on the TVR website for all women racers competing in race groups at NASA Nationals. Additionally, any women racer securing a podium position in a National Championship race will be highlighted in a front page Featured Driver article in an upcoming edition of Thunder Valley Racing. Finally, any woman driver securing a victory in a National Championship race will have her next NASA event entry fee provided complimentary of Thunder Valley Racing.

four day shoot out...

The 2007 NASA National Championship event is a four-day shoot-out, which attracts the best of the best racers and teams from around the country to compete in the highest level of NASA competition. Thursday’s practice is followed by Friday and Saturday qualifying race events, from which the combined results then set the stage for Sunday’s National Championship races. Drivers and teams from around the country gather at the beautiful and legendary Mid Ohio Sports Car Course to race where legends ran, each with hopes of adding the title “National Champion” to their name.
