Racing takes to the airwaves... |
Thunder Valley Racing has provided the latest news
and information on women in racing for more than eight years. This
month, I'm proud to announce that we will be sharing the successes
and stories of women racers in a new, and exciting way! On June
3, Thunder Valley Racing takes to the airwaves with our debut on
the new Chic Sports Radio, to be featured on Sirius Satellite Channel
122. Fans of women in racing will be able to catch the latest news
and information on their favorite drivers on this ground breaking,
monthly radio show, and we are proud to be among the charter members
of the Chic Sports Radio satellite effort.
Interest in the accomplishments of women racers continues to grow.
2005 finds women racers receiving support from major players in
the motorsports industry, and women are now joining fully funded,
well-developed race teams. Racecar drivers know that success in
racing depends not only on their driving skills, but also requires
support in the form of high-quality equipment, and a dedicated,
competent team. Higher levels of funding and connections with top-notch
teams holds real promise that women racers will earn their way
into the upper levels of motorsports.
| Every
racer faces a myriad of challenges... |
Every racer faces a myriad of challenges at the track and between
races. Effective racecar set-up and qualifying eludes even the
best teams at times, and championship performance depends upon
the individual effort of every member of a team. This year, more
women racers are facing these challenges than ever before, and
in doing so, have captured the attention of media and fans around
the world.
The 2005 racing season is well underway, and women racers continue
to set a new pace in driving success. This month we feature accomplished
racers Shawna Robinson (NASCAR Busch Series) and Danica Patrick
(Indy Racing League). These drivers are just two of the more than
one hundred talented women racers currently featured on the Thunder
Valley Racing site. I encourage you to learn more about the efforts
of women racers by visiting our Racer Profiles and Press Release
sections.
| Work hard, believe in yourself,
and follow your dreams ladies!... |
As our eighth year unfolds, I want to extend a special thanks
to those of you who not only support and encourage our efforts
here at Thunder Valley Racing, but to those of you that work with
and encourage women racers at every level in our sport. With sustained
effort, I know that the number of women in the Winner's Circle
will continue to grow. Work hard, believe in yourself, and follow
your dreams ladies! See you On-Track!
